SERUMS - What are they & Why use them?

They are made of much smaller molecules than moisturisers. This allows serums to soak deeper delivering enhanced penetration of their highly concentrated active ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin. They are great for targeting concerns like premature ageing, dullness and dehydration. Serums are applied after cleansing and toning but before applying moisturiser. Their texture feels much lighter than moisturisers which is why you then need to follow applying your serum with a moisturiser which plumps and hydrates the outer surface layers.
